The innovation winners of game-changing new products and service were announced at the 2019 Edison Awards at the Capitale in New York on April 4th. Covering AI, robotics, consumer electronics, consumer goods, medical, and social innovation, this year’s winners prove that innovation has reached into all categories.
More than 500 senior executives and their guests attended the awards ceremony, representing one of the highest accolades in the field of innovation and business. The nominees were judged by a panel of more than 3,000 leading executives.
“After 32 years, it never ceases to amaze us how innovations that we could only dream about become our reality. Once again, the winners created innovations that are revolutionizing industries and becoming indispensable,” said Frank Bonafilia, executive director of the Edison Awards.
Another highlight of the event was the presentation of the prestigious Edison Achievement Award, which recognizes innovation leaders and business executives who have made a significant and lasting contribution to innovation throughout their careers, to Ginni Rometty, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of IBM.
