How can telecom companies position themselves to take advantage of current changes and trends? This question is central to the next Global Telecoms Business (GTB) Summit, devoted to ‘Telecoms Innovation and Technology’. The event takes place in London, on 25 and 26 May. The winners of GTB Innovation Awards, designed to celebrate collaboration between operators and vendors, will also be revealed.
At the summit, executives from Nokia, Google, Orange, Ericsson, Telefonica and HP Entreprise will come together to discuss how disruptive technologies are changing the industry – from business processes through to mobile broadband, cloud computing, wearable technologies and big data management. The agenda includes keynote presentations on new opportunities offered by fifth generation systems and on ways to use crowd sourcing for innovation, among other key challenges.
The summit is organised by GTB, a website and magazine ‘written specifically for the senior managers who run telecoms carriers worldwide’. The event also includes panel sessions and interviews with industry leaders and visionaries, focused on the technologies impacting and disrupting the telecoms landscape.
