Bank of New York appoints new head for its EMEA Innovation Centre

Niamh De Niese, a veteran in financial services, is now leading Bank of New York’s (BNY) Europe Middle East and Africa Innovation Centre (EMEA). Strategically based in London, EMEA is one of six BNY client solutions incubators spread worldwide, and De Niese will be developing collaborative innovation bridges with the region’s fintech communities.

She will also contribute to fuel client engagement and expand innovative solutions for the global investments company. With a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science and Business from University College Cork, De Niese is an experienced senior leader in the technology and innovation sector, having worked in several prestigious consulting and financial services industries. More recently, she was the head of Visa’s European innovation labs in London, Berlin and Tel Aviv.

With new locations opening soon in New York and Singapore, this network of centres is the core of BNY’s digital transformation strategy to connect its clients and fintechs through innovation practices. By engaging all in a collaborative environment, BNY aims to find new solutions for value creation and problem solving.
