The Cisco Innovation Grand Challenge is calling for all innovators, developers, researchers and entrepreneurs to submit their disruptive ideas and solutions for a safer and more connected and sustainable world. The three winners will get a share of the $250,000 prize. You can submit your application until 31 August.
Now in its third edition, the challenge recognises startups, developers and entrepreneurs around the world who have the most breakthrough solutions and technologies for digitisation acceleration. The panel of judges will assess the customer value, likelihood of success, market opportunity, potential for growth, disruptive nature and uniqueness of competition entries, as well as their fit with Cisco or its partners’ business strategies.
The 15 semifinalists, to be announced on 21 September, will compete for one of six spots in the finalist round. The final pitch takes place during the Web Summit in Lisbon, in November.
The three winners will receive mentorship with industry experts, gain access to work space at Cisco centres and share the prize money: $150,000 for first place, $75,000 for second and $25,000 for the second runner-up.
