As online courses and certificates attract ever more students, leading academic institutions remain committed to staying relevant and using digital media to reach wider audiences, distribute knowledge and share expertise and research findings. Launched in 1999 by the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the online business analysis journal Knowledge@Wharton is among the most successful initiatives.

With more than three million users worldwide, the free website now has editions in Arabic, Chinese, English, Spanish and Portuguese. The searchable database includes more than 6,300 articles, podcasts and videos, as well as analyses of current business trends and interviews with faculty and industry leaders.

The Knowledge@Wharton network offers free access to a stream of up-to-date content. The website also makes available book reviews, conference overviews and educational content for students and educators, including lesson plans, a glossary of business terms and an ‘Ask an Expert’ series.
